A Simple Gesture’s primary goal is that no child is hungry. Their mission is to collect and provide a consistent supply of food to local food pantries and food banks every month.

A Voice For All Foundations *

A Voice For All Foundations provides a voice to non-speaking individuals, non-English speakers and/or individuals with speech disorders or limitations in playground settings [as well as hospitals, police stations, and the community at large] by implementing communication boards [and other communication devices]; and advocating and encouraging an inclusive community.

Growing Hope fosters an equitable and sustainable local food system that empowers all people to grow, buy, sell, prepare, and eat nourishing food. Its programs reach throughout southeast Michigan. They envision a community where all people--particularly those with barriers due to race, class, culture, language, ability, and mobility--have access to nourishing local food that is culturally appropriate and affordable.

Healing Justice provides support, recovery and reconciliation to all harmed in cases of mistaken conviction and exonerations. Healing Justice is a national non-profit that utilizes restorative justice and legal reform strategies to address the harm caused by wrongful convictions. They focus on the widespread human toll caused by theses injustices.

Pennsylvania Bat Rescue believes that bat species throughout the world should be valued for their ecological, and environmental importance and services. Education and dispelling common misconceptions is essential to the conservation and protection of bat species.


Pennsylvania Bat Rescue recommended that the Initiative support three similar organizations. 

After a thorough review, we agreed.

Project Street Vet provides free veterinary care, treatment, and support to the pets of individuals experiencing homelessness and/or housing vulnerability.

SOAR Initiative, Inc. *

Indianapolis, IN


SOAR (Street Outreach and Animal Response) works with people experiencing homelessness or crisis due to domestic violence or health issues. They seek to preserve the bond between person and pet, and to remove barriers accessing services that pet ownership can bring. They recognize the huge benefit animals can bring in helping people get healthy, progress, and achieve stability.

People and Carnivores reconnects and restores carnivore populations in the Northern Rockies by working with the region's people to prevent human-carnivore conflicts.


People and Carnivores recommended that the Initiative support a partner organization in Wyoming.

Tiny House Community Development is to be a coalition of diverse individuals and local organizations who aim to reduce homelessness by engaging in public and private partnerships to create tiny home communities. .

The G5 Collective was conceived in the town of Old Fort as a solution to the lack of funding for trail maintenance and trail development projects.   G5 Stands for the Grandfather District and the 5 counties it covers.
